Day One: Arrival to Morocco at Marrakech Airport

Upon your arrival to Marrakech International Airport, you will meet your private driver guide waiting for you holding a sign to “Real Morocco Adventures”, in the front of the Airport with a private air-conditional vehicle and begin your 10 days Marrakech imperial cities & Desert excursion in Morocco, he will takes you to the Riad / or Hotel in the heart of the medina in Marrakech to relax and overnight.

 

Day Two: Marrakech Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will start exploring the heart of Marrakech one of the Country’s imperial cities, referred to as the Red city due of its sandstone buildings. With your local guide you will visit the most famous historic sites, museums and colorful souks, or markets of the medina including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace and the Jardin Majorelle a botanical garden that blends art deco and Moorish features.
You will have time for lunch. Then, continuing your sightseeing of Marrakech By walking around the focal point of the Medina is Djemaa El-Fna, the main square, enjoying the theatre of the streets buzzing with snake charmers, musicians, acrobats, storytellers and magicians. In the evening you will have free time to enjoy the sunset overlooking the exciting Djemaa El-Fna Square from a restaurant terrace enjoy your dinner, accommodation in the same hotel /or Riad.

 

Day Three: Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouet Kasbah – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Atlas Studios – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will leave Marrakech and travel through the Atlas Passes. On the road we will make stops to enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m). We will arrive to a small Berber village Telouet, in this village we’ll visit the Telouet Kasbah built in the 18th and 19th centuries for the powerful el Glaoui family; Telouet Kasbah is a rare sight to behold. Adorned in colorful mosaics and red stucco, the Kasbah had a strategic location on the caravan trail.
Take rest there to have lunch in a local restaurant. Later we will drive to Ouarzazate city along the stunning Ounila valley passing via Berber villages to reach the ancient Kasbah Ait-Benhaddou. This fortified walled city was built right on the caravan path between Marrakech and the Sahara and was once a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Inside the high mud walls are 6 Kasbahs and a small number of homes. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in several movies, including Gladiator & Lawrence of Arabia. In the afternoon we will visit Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate. Dinner & overnight will be in a hotel / or Riad in Ouarzazate.

 

Day Four: Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Valley – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Erg-Chebbi dunes (Merzouga)

After breakfast we will initiate our journey from Ouarzazate known as “the door of Sahara desert” to Merzouga. We will stop to discover the beautiful architecture of Kasbah Taourirte situated in Ouarzazate city. After that we’ll drive along the road of thousands Kasbah, Rose valley, Dades valley and Todra Valley. We will enjoy the green views full of palms grove and almonds trees.
Later we arrive at Todra Gorge a chilly and natural place with it orange towering cliffs, the canyons of Todra Gorge are almost 1,000 feet deep. Also it’s a preferred place for the climbers, where we will take time to discover this incredible place. In the afternoon we continue our way to Sahara desert along many Berber villages such as: Tinjdad, Melaab and Erfoud. We will have free time for lunch, before arriving to the magical land of sand dunes, Dinner and overnight in a hotel / or Riad in Merzouga.

 

Day Five: Desert Tour – Merzouga Lake – Khamliya village – Nomad Family – Camel ride & Overnight in desert camp

After breakfast, we will start our journey around Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We will explore many interesting places of the area such as: Merzouga Lake (not always full of water) to see the kinds of birds (ducks & flamingos) that coming to live in this lake especially in spring time. We will visit khamliya village where you will listen African music (Gnawa) played by the people originally from the black Africa, than we will continue our off-road desert tour to the black desert behind Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We will visit an abandoned village where the working mineral fossils, then drive to visit a nomadic Berber family to see them lifestyle.
We’ll back to khamliya to have a delicious lunch in Local restaurant. In the afternoon you will start Camel Trekking Adventure, across the beautiful unique orange colored sand dunes to desert camp. The great experience where you can feed your soul, enjoy the wonderful sunset from the middle of dunes. Dinner & overnight will be in camp, music played and you can frolic on the sand dunes under zillions of stars.

 

Day Six: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Middle Atlas – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes

Today we recommend you to wake up early for lovely sunrise, after breakfast and shower you will take camels or vehicle back to Merzouga. Next we will drive to Midelt along Erfoud, Aoufous, Ziz valley a green oasis full of thousands palms located in Errachidia and travel along Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m). Lunch time in Midelt city after that we will continue to Fes via the Middle Atlas & cedar forest where you can see the barbarian monkeys. Also we’ll stop for a while in Ifrane city which referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco” before join the oldest city in Morocco Fes. At the end of the day we will drop you off in a Hotel / or Riad in the heart of the medina for relax, dinner and overnight.

 

Day Seven: Explore Fes

After breakfast, you will start discovering the most historical and cultural city in Morocco. In Fes “the spiritual city of Morocco” you will visit the medina – the old city, with its architecture. Our guided tour in Fez includes many monuments Such as: the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the Dar El Makhzen or Royal Palace with its colorful mosaicked architecture & golden doors. The famous Chaouwara Tanneries the largest leather workshop in the city built in the 11th century. The Kairaouine Mosque (the old school of Islamic learning), and also one or the oldest universities in the world, while non-Muslims cannot enter but you can admire the mosque courtyard from the gates. The Najjarine Marble Fountain and Al-Attarine Madrassa is a religious school with some of the most striking Islamic architecture. The Bou Inania Medersa is one of Fes most architecturally beautiful theological colleges.
You will have time for lunch in Moroccan local restaurant. After you will discover Bab Boujloud archway is that its mosaics change color from blue on the exterior wall to green on the interior wall to spot the sacred color of Islam. Stroll around streets and markets of the medina. Later we will take you to the panoramic place to have an amazing view over the sprawling medina of Fes El-Bali, Dinner and overnight at the same Riad in the medina.

Day Eight: Fes – Chefchaouen (blue city)

After breakfast, we will travel to Chefchaouen called “the blue Pearl” through Ouazzan & Rif Mountains. Chaouen it is a very special and traditional Moroccan town surrounded by the Rif Mountains, in northwest, Morocco. It is Famous for the remarkable buildings in different shades of faded blue of its old town, which feels like a clean and elegant world. It has come to be known as such due to a distinctive blue color all the inhabitant use to paint their houses. This traditions and beliefs that the color blue represent the sky which in turn reminds people of heaven and God. This color covering the city gives it an amazing charm as well as a sense and an atmosphere of relaxation, comfort and peace.
You will start your Chefchaouen sightseeing by walking around the blue streets, enjoying the beautiful blue walls, doors, windows & amazing side shops of the old Medina with a lot of amazing picture chance around every corner. You will have break time to taste the delicious Moroccan dishes of the north. In the evening visit the ancient Kasbah Ali Ben Rachid and Plaza Uta El-Hammam. Our lovely day ends in a Riad / or Hotel in the blue alleys of Chefchaouen.

 

Day Nine: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknas – Fes

After breakfast we will start our Journey towards Volubilis via many Rif’s village such as Ouazzan & several others stunning Rif’s villages. First stop in Volubilis is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. We will explore and learn about this archeological site of Moroccan history that offers an impressive display of columns, abandoned buildings and beautiful mosaics dating back to 3rd century BC.
After the visit of the ruins we will continue our road to Meknes, the Ismaili capital & one of the four Imperial cities in Morocco, where we will stop for lunch, then start exploring interesting places of the city such as: the fascinating Bab Mansour Gate built by the Sultan Moulay Ismail, discover the tranquil courtyards of the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and Sahrij Swani used for irrigation and plantation. Strolling around the ancient Meknes medina and soak up the charming hubbub of El Hedim Square. In the afternoon we head to Fes to relax, dinner and overnight in a traditional Riad / or Hotel in the heart of the medina.

 

Day Ten: End Your Morocco Vacation

After having your breakfast, you’ll check-out your Hotel and we will transfer you to Fes International Airport and get ready for your departure back home and finish your 10 days Marrakech imperial cities & desert excursion.
