Day One: Arrival at Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Upon arrival at Tangier Port / or Airport, you will meet our driver guide waiting for you and begin our 6 days from Tangier to Marrakech Desert tour to Chefchaouen through the Rif Mountains to enjoy the views of the magnificent Mountains. In afternoon we will arrive to the bleu city (Chefchaouen), dinner and overnight will be in a Hotel / or Riad the blue alleys of the medina.

 

Day Two: Explore Chefchaouen – Fes

After breakfast, you will explore Chefchaouen or Chaouen called “the blue Pearl”, it is a very special and traditional Moroccan town surrounded by the Rif Mountains, in northwest, Morocco. It is Famous for the remarkable buildings in different shades of faded blue of its old town, which feels like a clean and elegant world. It has come to be known as such due to a distinctive blue color all the inhabitant use to paint their houses. This traditions and beliefs that the color blue represent the sky which in turn reminds people of heaven and God. This color covering the city gives it an amazing charm as well as a sense and an atmosphere of relaxation, comfort and peace.
You will start your Chefchaouen sightseeing by walking around the blue streets, enjoying the beautiful blue walls, doors, windows & amazing side shops of the old Medina with a lot of amazing picture chance around every corner. Visit the ancient Kasbah Ali Ben Rachid and Plaza Uta El-Hammam. You will have break time to taste the delicious Moroccan dishes of the north. In afternoon we will leave Chefchaouen “the blue city”, and drive to Fes one of the four Imperial cities in Morocco. In evening we will arrive to Fes, Dinner and Overnight in Hotel / or Riad in the heart of the medina.

 

Day Three: Fes Sightseeing

After breakfast, you will start discovering the most historical and cultural city in Morocco. In Fes “the spiritual city of Morocco” you will visit the medina – the old city, with its architecture. Our guided tour in Fez includes many monuments Such as: the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the Dar El Makhzen or Royal Palace with its colorful mosaicked architecture & golden doors. The famous Chaouwara Tanneries the largest leather workshop in the city built in the 11th century. The Kairaouine Mosque (the old school of Islamic learning), and also one or the oldest universities in the world, while non-Muslims cannot enter but you can admire the mosque courtyard from the gates. The Najjarine Marble Fountain and Al-Attarine Madrassa is a religious school with some of the most striking Islamic architecture. The Bou Inania Medersa is one of Fes most architecturally beautiful theological colleges.
You will have time for lunch in Moroccan local restaurant. After you will discover Bab Boujloud archway is that its mosaics change color from blue on the exterior wall to green on the interior wall to spot the sacred color of Islam. Stroll around streets and markets of the medina. Later we will take you to the panoramic place to have an amazing view over the sprawling medina of Fes El-Bali, Dinner and overnight at the same Riad in the medina.

 

Day Four: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Merzouga – Camel Trek

After breakfast, we leave Fes and driving though the magical Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in Ifrane city which known as “Switzerland of Morocco”, than we continue our road to Midelt, the famous town of apples where we will have lunch, but before we will see the barbarian apes in cedar forest near to Azrou. Later in the afternoon we’ll drive to Sahara desert towards Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m), passing by incredible Berber villages and the wonderful views of Ziz Valley situated in Errachidia city.
We will continue our way to Merzouga the beautiful land of Sahara desert, where we will start a great adventure including Camel Trekking, across the beautiful unique orange colored sand dunes to desert camp. Spend the great moments in amazing place where you can feed your soul and enjoy the wonderful sunset from the middle of dunes. Dinner & overnight will be in camp, music played and you can frolic on the sand dunes under zillions of stars.

 

Day Five: Merzouga – Rissani Town – Tinghir – Todra Valley & Gorges – Dades Valley – Boumalne Dades

In morning of the next day, is better to wake up early for lovely sunrise, after breakfast & shower return by camel ride / or vehicle to Merzouga village departure to Rissani town. We will walk around the famous, traditional and biggest Market of the area exploring the local-made goods and art crafts. It’s better to visit Rissani in one of the following days: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. In these three days is souk, so it’s good days for the people of desert area that want to do shopping. Later we travel to Tinghir along the Tafilalt Oasis where we can stop to see the ancient system of irrigation found there.
Arriving to Tinjdad town where we will have free time for lunch. Then, continuing to Tinghir to explore the stunning views of Todra valley & walk along Todra Gorge with it orange towering cliffs, the canyons of Todra Gorge are almost 1,000 feet deep, also its a preferred place for the climbers. We will end our day in Boumalne Dades with its green valley, Dinner & overnight in a hotel / or Riad.

 

Day Six: Boumalne Dades – City of Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ounila Valley – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, the 6 Days from Tangier continue: we will travel to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah via land of Roses and the road of thousands Kasbahs. After that we will arrive to Ouarzazate famed as “the Hollywood of Africa”, where we will stop to photograph the Kasbah Taourirte & visit world renowned cinema studio (Atlas studios). Then we continue to the next point which is the ancient Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This fortified walled city was built right on the caravan path between Marrakech and the Sahara and was once a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Inside the high mud walls are 6 Kasbahs and a small number of homes. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in several movies, including Gladiator & Lawrence of Arabia.
After visit of the Kasbah, we will have a break to have lunch in local restaurant. In the afternoon continue our tour to the final point Marrakech via High Atlas Passes. On the road we will make stops to enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m). To reach Marrakech in the evening, drop you off at your accommodation and end of 6 Day from Tangier to Marrakech Desert tour & our services.
