Day One: Arrival to Agadir City Morocco

Upon your arrival to Agadir Al-Massira International Airport, you will meet your private driver guide waiting for you holding a sign to “Real Morocco Adventures”, in the front of the Airport with a private modern A.C car and he will take you to the Riad / or Hotel in Agadir to relax and overnight.

 

Day Two: Agadir Sightseeing

The 17 days Agadir Grand Morocco Cities Tours & Sahara desert will start by exploring the main attractions of Agadir city. We will visit the Port Marina where you will see the traditional craftsmanship used to build wooden fishing boats for many hundreds of years. You will visit ruins of the Agadir Oufella Kasbah, destroyed in the earthquake of 1960. The Kasbah is situated at the top of a mountain that gives you a birds-eye the view of the whole city. Your visit will end with a trip to the colorful walled souk that houses Agadir’s bustling local market. In the afternoon you will have free time to enjoy the sunset in Agadir beach, Dinner and overnight at the same Riad in the medina.

 

Day Three: Agadir – Essaouira

After breakfast, departure in the morning to the little Mogador (Essaouira); our driver guide will pick you up from your Hotel. You will pass from several coastal towns to reach Essaouira. After 1 hour drive we will stop in Taghazout to discover this beautiful town and enjoy the amazing landscapes of the Atlantic coast, later we will have free time for lunch. In afternoon we continue our way to Essaouira along the amazing coast to arrive in the evening to Essaouira, dinner and overnight in a typical Riad / or Hotel in the heart of the Medina.

 

Day Four: Explore Essaouira

After breakfast, explore the city of Essaouira and its famous fishing port; world heritage site, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant next to the sea. Then, you will have free time to discover the old medina; the Jewish quarter (el Mellah), the Skalla and the picturesque souks of the city: you will explore art galleries and stalls of traditional carpentry and you will discover the fascinating atmosphere and its old streets. In the evening we recommend watching the beautiful sunset and a glass of tea at one of the cafes in the main square, dinner and overnight at the same Riad / or Hotel.

 

Day Five: Essaouira – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will depart for Marrakech driving through the land of Argan culture, on our way will have opportunity to visit the women’s co-operative of Argan oil where they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medical properties. After several stops to take photographs, we’ll continue our journey to Marrakech before we drop you off in to your Riad. This is your first contact with Marrakech you will get to fell and see with your own eyes what attracted many celebrities to this red city. After dinner you will enjoy walking in the famous square of Djemaa El-Fna, entertained with magicians, story tellers, musicians and snake charmers. Overnight will be in a Riad/ or Hotel.

 

Day Six: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

After breakfast, we will depart to Casablanca the largest and economic city in Morocco to see the most important sights of the city, including the mosque of Hassan II the largest mosque in Africa. Then, continuing to Rabat, which is the country’s capital and one of the four imperial cities in Morocco. We will discover the best attraction of this city such as the Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, Chellah, and Oudaya Kasbah. Overnight will be in a Hotel / or Riad in Rabat.

 

Day Seven: Rabat – Asilah – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we will drive to Chefchaouen known as “the blue city” along Morocco’s Atlantic coast. We will stop to explore the beautiful coastal and clean city of Asilah with its Portuguese colonial fortifications. Asilah is known for its annual festival of the art, most walls of the medina are painted by various famous artists from all over the world. We will have free time for lunch. In the afternoon we will continue our way to Chefchaouen through the Rif Mountains. Overnight will be in a Hotel / or Riad in the blue alleys of Chefchaouen. .

 

Day Eight: Explore Chefchaouen

After breakfast, you will explore Chefchaouen or Chaouen called “the blue Pearl”, it is a very special and traditional Moroccan town surrounded by the Rif Mountains, in northwest, Morocco. It is Famous for the remarkable buildings in different shades of faded blue of its old town, which feels like a clean and elegant world. It has come to be known as such due to a distinctive blue color all the inhabitant use to paint their houses. This traditions and beliefs that the color blue represent the sky which in turn reminds people of heaven and God. This color covering the city gives it an amazing charm as well as a sense and an atmosphere of relaxation, comfort and peace.
You will start your Chefchaouen sightseeing by walking around the blue streets, enjoying the beautiful blue walls, doors, windows & amazing side shops of the old Medina with a lot of amazing picture chance around every corner. You will have break time to taste the delicious Moroccan dishes of the north. In the evening visit the ancient Kasbah Ali Ben Rachid and Plaza Uta El-Hammam. Our lovely day ends in the same Riad / or Hotel in the blue alleys of Chefchaouen.

 

Day Nine: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknas – Fes

After breakfast, we will start our Journey towards Volubilis via many Rif’s village such as Ouazzan & several others stunning Rif’s villages. First stop in Volubilis is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. We will explore and learn about this archeological site of Moroccan history that offers an impressive display of columns, abandoned buildings and beautiful mosaics dating back to 3rd century BC.
After the visit of the ruins we will continue our road to Meknes, the Ismaili capital & one of the four Imperial cities in Morocco, where we will stop for lunch, then start exploring interesting places of the city such as: the fascinating Bab Mansour Gate built by the Sultan Moulay Ismail, discover the tranquil courtyards of the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and Sahrij Swani used for irrigation and plantation. Strolling around the ancient Meknes medina and soak up the charming hubbub of El Hedim Square. In the afternoon we head to Fes to relax, dinner and overnight in a traditional Riad / or Hotel in the heart of the medina.

 

Day Ten: Explore Fes (the old city)

After breakfast, you will start discovering the most historical and cultural city in Morocco. In Fes “the spiritual city of Morocco” you will visit the medina – the old city, with its architecture. Our guided tour in Fez includes many monuments Such as: the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the Dar El Makhzen or Royal Palace with its colorful mosaicked architecture & golden doors. The famous Chaouwara Tanneries the largest leather workshop in the city built in the 11th century. The Kairaouine Mosque (the old school of Islamic learning), and also one or the oldest universities in the world, while non-Muslims cannot enter but you can admire the mosque courtyard from the gates. The Najjarine Marble Fountain and Al-Attarine Madrassa is a religious school with some of the most striking Islamic architecture. The Bou Inania Medersa is one of Fes most architecturally beautiful theological colleges.
You will have time for lunch in Moroccan local restaurant. After you will discover Bab Boujloud archway is that its mosaics change color from blue on the exterior wall to green on the interior wall to spot the sacred color of Islam. Stroll around streets and markets of the medina. Later we will take you to the panoramic place to have an amazing view over the sprawling medina of Fes El-Bali, Dinner and overnight at the same Riad in the medina.

 

Day Eleven: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga sand dunes

After breakfast, our 17 Days Agadir Grand Morocco Tour continue:  we leave Fes and drive though the magical Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in Ifrane city which known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, than we continue our road to Midelt, the famous town of apples where we will have lunch, but before we will see the monkeys in cedar forest nearby Azrou. Later in the afternoon we’ll drive to Sahara desert towards Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m), passing by incredible Berber villages, and stop in the wonderful views of Ziz Valley, after that we will connect with the amazing land of sand dunes (Erg-Chebbi) of Merzouga. End of the day, dinner & overnight in a hotel / or Riad.

 

Day Twelve: explore around Erg Chebbi dunes – Overnight in desert camp

After breakfast, we will start our journey around Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We will explore many interesting places of the area such as: Merzouga Lake (not always full of water) to see the kinds of birds (ducks & flamingos) that coming to live in this lake especially in spring time. We will visit khamliya village where you will listen African music (Gnawa) played by the people originally from the black Africa, than we will continue our off-road desert tour to the black desert behind Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We will visit an abandoned village where the working mineral fossils, then drive to visit a nomadic Berber family to see them lifestyle.
We’ll back to khamliya to have a delicious lunch in Local restaurant. In the afternoon you will start Camel Trekking Adventure, across the beautiful unique orange colored sand dunes to desert camp. The great experience where you can feed your soul, enjoy the wonderful sunset from the middle of dunes. Dinner & overnight will be in camp, music played and you can frolic on the sand dunes under zillions of stars.

 

Day Thirteen: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra gorge – Boumalne Dades – Valley of roses – Ouarzazate

In morning of the next day, is better to wake up early for lovely sunrise, after breakfast & shower return by camel ride / or vehicle to Merzouga village departure to Rissani town. We will walk around the famous, traditional and biggest Market of the area exploring the local-made goods and art crafts. It’s better to visit Rissani in one of the following days: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. In these three days is souk, so it’s good days for the people of desert area that want to do shopping. Later we travel to Tinghir along the Tafilalt Oasis where we can stop to see the ancient system of irrigation found there.
Continuing to Tinjdad town where we will have free time for lunch. In the afternoon we will reach to Tinghir to explore the stunning views of Todra valley & walk along Todra Gorge with it orange towering cliffs, the canyons of Todra Gorge are almost 1,000 feet deep, also it’s a preferred place for the climbers. We will end our day in Ouarzazate by traveling along Dades Valley, the road of 1000 Kasbahs and the land of Roses in Kalaat M’Gonna town, after we will arrive to Ouarzazate where we can stop to Photograph the amazing architecture of Kasbah Taourirte, before check your hotel / or Riad for relax, dinner & overnight.

 

Day fourteen: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Telouet Kasbah – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will visit world renowned cinema studio (Atlas studios) in Ouarzazate. Our trip continues to the ancient Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This fortified walled city was built right on the caravan path between Marrakech and the Sahara and was once a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Inside the high mud walls are 6 Kasbahs and a small number of homes. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in several movies, including Gladiator & Lawrence of Arabia.
Later we will drive to Marrakech city along the stunning Ounila valley passing via Berber villages to reach Telouet village where we can visit Telouet Kasbah built in the 18th and 19th centuries for the powerful el Glaoui family; Telouet Kasbah is a rare sight to behold. Adorned in colorful mosaics and red stucco, the Kasbah had a strategic location on the caravan trail.
Take Break there to have lunch in local restaurant. Then, drive through the Atlas Passes, on the road we will make stops to enjoy the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m). We will arrive to Marrakech in the evening, overnight in a hotel / or Riad in the heart of the medina.

 

Day Fifteen: Marrakech sightseeing

After breakfast, you will start exploring the heart of Marrakech one of the Country’s imperial cities, referred to as the Red city due of its sandstone buildings. With your local guide you will visit the most famous historic sites, museums and colorful souks, or markets of the medina including the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace and the Jardin Majorelle a botanical garden that blends art deco and Moorish features.
You will have time for lunch. Then, continuing your sightseeing of Marrakech By walking around the focal point of the Medina is Djemaa El-Fna, the main square, enjoying the theatre of the streets buzzing with snake charmers, musicians, acrobats, storytellers and magicians. In the evening you will have free time to enjoy the sunset overlooking the exciting Djemaa El-Fna Square from a restaurant terrace enjoy your dinner, accommodation in the same hotel /or Riad.

 

Day Sixteen: Marrakech – Agadir

After breakfast, we will depart from Marrakech and travel towards Agadir. Once you arrive to Agadir you will be dropped off at the Hotel to relax. In the afternoon you will have time to enjoy the amazing coast of Agadir. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.

 

Day Seventeen: transfer to Airport

After having your breakfast, you’ll check-out your Hotel and we will transfer you to Agadir Al-Massira International Airport and get ready for your departure back home and finish your 17 days Agadir Grand Morocco Cities Tours & Sahara desert.
